Description
The gentle rhythms of a waltz in the distance drift through the open hotel window and the mild sun of the Salzkammergut makes us understand why the imperial family spent their summer holidays in Bad Ischl.
Pure Bad Ischl. The myth of Sisi lies in the air.
Our spacious well-being rooms, the shady guest garden, the romantic view over the Traun: holidays for the pampered.
Bad Ischl has been recognised as the ideal holiday destination going back
to the time of Emperor Franz Josef and his darling Sissi, who used to spend their summer holidays here. Located in the heart of the imperial city of Bad Ischl, the four-star Goldener Ochs Hotel is the ideal starting point for your holiday in the Salzkammergut.
Famous guests
The Hotel Goldener Ochs has a reputation for hospitality in Bad Ischl since 1791. The wholesome cuisine, the warm atmosphere and the personal service by the owner family was well appreciated, for example, by the composer Franz Lehár who was a regular guest at the Goldener Ochs. The table regularly occupied by the musical genius in the restaurant „Lehár-Stuben“ is particularly popular during Lehár Festival in Bad Ischl, the legendary operetta festival in the imperial city.
