Description
Originating in 1334 as a tavern for the Benedictine monks of Nonnberg Monastery, it has been in the Gmachl family since 1583. The family has owned it for 23 generations - the oldest family business in Austria.
Today the Gmachl is a 4-star-hotel with attractive rooms and comfortable restaurant rooms that have kept the charming athmosphere of the old country inn.
The further amenities of the house inlcude a wellness area with sauna, steam bath, infra-red cabin and mist grotto. Massages, a fitness room, a heated outdoor pool with sunbathing area and tennis courts complete the offer.

Area information :
The Trumer lake area with the Obertrumer lake, the Matt lake and the Graben lake are only 10 minutes away by car. They are ideal to go swimming, hiking or for a boat tour.
Travel information :
You are coming from the A1 motorway and leave at "Salzburg Nord". The "Nord-Exit" splits into directions "Zentrum" and "Trumer Seengebiet", you take the direction "Trumer Seengebiet".
