This 4-star hotel is located in central Kolding, just beside the train station and 50 metres from the shopping streets.
The hotel exudes nostalgia and history, which makes us an exceptional 4-star hotel. Our 87 rooms have all been carefully refurnished respecting the original character of the building. All rooms have free mini bar and half of them have flat screen TVs.
Try our pub and our restaurants or our fitness room.
Our conference facilities include a meeting room for 35 people. If you are interested in meetings in more historical surroundings, we can arrange conferences and company events in the former Royal Castle Koldinghus, which is 500 metres from the hotel.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 2 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 3 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
All children under 2 years are charged DKK 0.00 per night and person for cots.
All older children or adults are charged DKK 300.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 2.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in the entire hotel and costs DKK 2.50 per hour.

The in-house restaurant, Latin offers a wide range of Italian cuisine. Restaurant Saxildhus is the romantic restaurant with international gourmet meals for all. Bertram Pub is the perfect finish for a long day of meetings.
Area information :
Living in Saxildhus is the same as living in the direct centre of Kolding. The train station just beside the street, the royal castle Koldinghus is 500 metres away and it is 300 metres to the shopping streets of Kolding.

By Train:
You can take the train from all bigger towns in Denmark and will arrive at Kolding banegård. Just beside the street you will find our 4-star hotel. It is also possible to reach Kolding directly with trains from Prague, Berlin and Hamburg.
By Car:
From the north:
- Take the E45 south towards Kolding.
- Take exit 62 keep in the left lane.
- Exit for Havn.
- Take the 3rd exit on the roundabout, towards Havn.
- Go through 3 sets of traffic lights.
- At the 1st road turn left.
- Then turn left again.
- Saxildhus Hotel is on your right, opposite Banegårdspladsen.
From the south:
- Take the E45 north towards Kolding.
- Take exit 65 right towards Kolding.
- At the 5th set of traffic lights, turn left.
- At the 1st set of traffic lights, turn right.
- Again, turn right at the traffic lights.
- Saxildhus Hotel is on your left.
From the East:
- Take the E20 east towards Kolding.
- The E20 becomes the E45.
- Take exit 62 and keep left towards Havn.
- exit at the roundabout towards Havn.
- Continue past 3 sets of traffic lights.
- At the 1st road turn left.
- Turn left again.
- Saxildhus Hotel is on your right, opposite Banegårdspladsen.
From the west:
- Take the E20 west towards Kolding.
- At exit 64, keep right.
- Take the slip road before the roundabout.
- Take the 2nd exit from the roundabout.
- Go through the 2nd set of traffic lights at Kolding Storcenter.
- Continue to the 3rd set of traffic lights.
- At the 3rd set of traffic lights, turn right.
- At the 1st set of traffic lights, turn left
- Go straight on at the traffic lights.
- Saxildhus Hotel is on your right, opposite Banegårdspladsen.
By Plane:
From Billund airport it is around 30 km to Kolding and Saxildhus. We will gladly arrange a transfer for you.
From Kastrup airport you can take the train directly to Kolding or change in Copenhagen. Travel time is around 2,5 hours.
From Hamburg airport take taxi to the train station and afterwards a train to Kolding.
