The Gasthaus zum Fischerwirt is situated between Linderhof Castle, Ettal Abbey and the famous village of Oberammergau, and lies at a distance of approximately 6 kilometres from all three.
The area lends itself to walking, cycling and hiking in the mountains. In the winter, the area boasts one of the most beautiful cross-country ski tracks in Germany.

From Munich via the A95 motorway:
- Take the exit at "Oberau" and continue on the B23 towards Ettal
- 1km after Ettal, turn left towards Reutte/Schloss Linderhof
- You will see the hotel after 5km on the left-hand side
From Augsburg:
- Take the B23 past Oberammergau
- After 2 km turn right towards Reutte/Schloss Linderhof
- You will find the hotel in Graswang on the left-hand side
