Acropolis di Civitavecchia, with its ancient polygonal walls, is the antique and mysterious heart of the town which has kept its original features. This town is well known as the birthplace of Marco Tullio Cicerone, Caio Mario, Marco Vipsanio Agrippa, Giuseppe Cesari, known as Cavalier d'Arpino and many others.
Arpino is located in an hilly area, at 450 metres above sea level. On the left-hand side of Valle del Liri, is a town with legendary origins, and some people ascribe its foundations to Saturn or to the mythic people of Pelasgi.

By Car from Rome:
- Exit the A1 motorway at Frosinone.
- Take the Frosinone-Sora express road and exit at Castelliri.
- Once in Isola Del Liri, follow the signs to Arpino.
By Car from Naples:
- Exit the A1 motorway at Pontecorvo, towards SS6 Caalina Frosinone.
- Join the SS82 towards Isola Del Liri- Sora.
- At the junction follow signs towards Arpino.

By Train:
From the Rome - Naples via Cassino line get out at Frosinone or Roccasecca. Change for the Roccasecca - Avezzano line and get out at Arpino.
By Bus:
The CO.TRA.L. bus service runs daily from Roma-Osteria del Curato (by the Anagnina station on Metro line A) to Frosinone and Sora, where you can the change for buses to Arpino and Isola del Liri. The Sora-Isola del Liri/Arpino bus service runs frequently during school-time and working hours.
