This friendly family hotel, the oldest and finest in Bakkum, is located in the centre of the old village and within walking distance of the picturesque dunes and coast.
With both car and bicycle rentals available, day trips begin at the front door. Visit the charming city of Alkmaar, famous for its cheese market, or set out for exciting Amsterdam – also easily reached by train.

Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 1 day before the date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the first night will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
One child under 3 years is charged EUR 10.00 per night in a baby cot.
Extra beds are not available.
Maximum capacity of babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.

Bakkum is close to a number of major cities and tourist attractions in North Holland. Alkmaar, Haarlem, and Amsterdam are all within 35 km. For a smaller scale traditional ambiance, visit towns such as Edam, Volendam and Monnickendam, quaintly located on the IJsselmeer.

By car from Amsterdam:
Follow the A 9 direction of Alkmaar. Take exit number 10 (Castricum/Uitgeest/Zaandam). Turn right at the traffic lights. Now you follow the local road N203 to Castricum. At the second set of lights you turn left, still following the sign of Castricum (N513). You have to go to the right side of the road, direction Castricum aan Zee. Take the roundabout 3/4 of the way, direction Bakkum. Go straight ahead and after 200 meters you see Hotel Borst on your left hand side (parking is on your right).
