This guest house makes for an excellent base for those who wish to explore the mountains, take advantage of the sporting facilities or simply relax and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Sokolec is a village situated near the Sokolej Pass in the Sowie Mountains, which can be explored either on foot or by bike. First and foremost, Sokolec is a ski centre for beginners as well as advanced skiers. There are many ski routes in the surrounding area, along with numerous ski runs situated over 800 metres high and there are some even higher. This is one of the reasons why there is always a lot of snow here.

The residence is set in a tranquil natural environment which features forests, rivers and mountains; there are panoramic views of the location and a number of the rooms feature a balcony, the perfect place for a pleasant stay in this beautiful region.

The lunchroom offers traditional Polish and international cuisine as well as a wide variety of dishes.

The guest house boasts a picturesque position in the valley, on the hillside of Wielka Sowa, by a mountain stream and close to a main tourist path.

Located only 80 km, a one and half hour drive, from Wrocław, the Góry Sowie Mountains are covered by a thick net of tourist trails; we especially recommend the red trail that leads over the peaks. This area is perfect for cross-country skiing thanks to the forest paths and the climate, which offers snow for a long time. The main tourist attractions are the forts in Srebrna Góra, castle Zamek Grodno in Zagórze Śląskie, the artificial lake Zalew Lubachowski on the river Bystrzyca, the Museum of Mining in Nowa Ruda and the underground cities of Hitler of which two can be visited: one in Walim and one in Głuszyca-Osówka. On the Wzgórza Wyrębińskie hills you can find old German bunkers.

During wintertime in Rzeczka, Sokolec, the Jugowska mountain pass and the Wielka Sowa ski lifts are operating and slopes of different difficulties are available. The longest and most attractive ski runs can be found on the Wielka Sowa starting in Potoczek, popular with hikers and cyclists who can take advantage of most of the cross-country skiing trails.
