Beautifully situated in an extensive concession area within the Kruger National Park, this period style camp with a historic atmosphere offers a unique and private safari experience.
The six magnificent canvas tents are only tents in name as they are complete with teak floorboards, mosquito nets, slipper baths and outdoor showers. The accommodation is linked to the main lodge by raised timber walkways amongst ancient Jackalberry trees.
The guest lounge and dining area adds to the delight of this tranquil spot overlooking the Nwatsitsonto River. Activities include game drives, guided walks and Nomadic African spa treatments. With a fine tradition of luxury in true 'Out of Africa' style, guests are assigned personal butlers, rangers and trackers in this 1930’s themed sumptuous tented camp.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 45 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 1 day before date of arrival, 80 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 8 years are welcome.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
Deposit Policy: 50 percent of the total amount will be charged at least 30 days prior to arrival and is refundable.

By Car:
To the Orpen Gate:
Estimated driving time is 2 hours.
- Take the H7 towards Satara.
- Drive for approximately 6.7 km.
- Turn right onto the S106 dirt road.
- After 1.6 km, turn right onto the S140 towards Talamati.
- After 19.5 km, turn right onto the S145.
- After 13 km you will reach a T-junction, turn right onto the S36.
- After 6.5 km the roads forks, keep on the right following the Hamiltons signs and proceed through the no entry sign.
- Carry on along this road for 2 km going through a low water bridge.
- Approximately 400 metres after the bridge, turn right at the no entry sign.
- Take the first road on your right and you will find the Hamiltons Tented Camp.
To the Kruger Gate:
Estimated driving time: 2.5 hours.
- Take the H1-2 towards Skukuza.
- Pass Skukuza and take the H1-2 towards Satara.
- After approximately 20 km turn left onto the S36 dirt road, it is signposted.
- Carry on along the S36 for approximately 39 km; you will pass the Lugmag Dam and Nhlanguleni picnic spot.
- After 39 km on this road you will see a no entry sign, only guests of Hamiltons may enter.
- About 200 metres thereafter, turn left at the second no entry sign.
- Take the first road on your right and you will find Hamiltons Tented Camp.
