Situated on a quiet street close to the beach, Halcyon, Plettenberg Bay, combines the airy feel of a beach house with the elegance of a permanent home. This small guest house is also within 5 minutes’ drive of restaurants.
Halcyon has spacious living areas – breakfast is normally served on the patio beside the swimming pool or on the sunny North Terrace. There is a private bar area (with pool table) where guests gather regularly in the early evening before going out to dine.
Halcyon offers rooms at three rates: of the four bedrooms three offer sea and mountain views. These are the spacious, private Kingfisher Suite, the Nautilus two-bedroom unit. The fourth room is a small budget room with en-suite shower.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: Please note, if cancelled, 25 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 60 days before date of arrival, 15 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled up to 30 days before date of arrival, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.
In case of no-show, 30 percent of all nights will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 12 years are welcome.
All children or adults are charged 100 % of the room stay per night when using existing bedding.
There is no capacity for extra beds/cots in the room.
Deposit Policy: 10 percent of the total amount will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.

Internet: Wireless internet is available in public areas and is free of charge.
Meal Plan: Full English breakfast is included in the room rate.
Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.

Plettenberg Bay is well-situated as a base to view, explore and enjoy what the garden route offers, from Knysna in the west to Storms River in the east. The town is known for its beautiful bay and for its long sandy beaches. It features many lovely restaurants and shops.
The activities we recommend include: hiking, horse riding and kayaking on the river and sea. There is also plenty of opportunity to go on whale and dolphin safaris, as well as visit monkey, elephant, wolf, snake and bird sanctuaries. Adventure sports include, debatably, the world's highest bungee jump, treetop canopy tours, sky-diving and helicopter rides.

From George/Knysna on the N2:
- Take the first Piesang Valley Road exit and travel for approximately 4 km.
- Turn right at the roundabout into Marine Way.
- Take the 1st right into Longships Road.
- Take the 2nd left into Roche Bonne Road.
- Take the 1st right into Pachena Point Road.
- Take the 2nd left into Rattray Head Avenue.
- The guest house is at number 30 on the left at the top of the incline.
