Hawksmoor House is the ideal place to unwind and let the day go by slowly, relaxing by the pool with a good book and a glass of our own fabulous Hawksmoor wine. We are situated in a stunning location amidst vineyards, overlooking Table Mountain and enjoying spectacular sunsets. It also serves as a great base to explore the Winelands.
We are only 25 minutes from Cape Town. The dramatic mountain ranges of the Cape Winelands can be seen in the surrounding area, which occupies the area around Stellenbosch, Franschhoek and Paarl.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 45 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled up to 15 days before date of arrival, 50 percent of all nights will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: Children older than 12 years are welcome.
All children or adults are charged ZAR 375.00 per night and person for extra beds.
Maximum capacity of extra beds in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: The total price of the reservation will be charged on the day of booking and is refundable.
VAT and city/tourist taxes: VAT is included.
Service charge is included.
1.00 % city/tourist tax per person per night is not included.
Internet: Wireless Internet Hotspot is available in the entire hotel and charges are applicable.
Meal Plan: Breakfast is included in the room rate.
Parking: Free private parking is possible on site.
Pets: Pets are not allowed.

The second-oldest town in South Africa after Cape Town, it is also one of the best preserved, with a mix of architectural styles, including Cape Dutch, Georgian, Regency and Victorian. Home to one of South Africa's oldest universities, Stellenbosch is the Cape Winelands’ most interesting and lively town with numerous restaurants, bars, shops and galleries.
Travel information :
By Car (from Stellenbosch):
- Follow the R304 towards N1 / Klipheuwel and cross the N1.
- Within 1 km, you will go past the Tygerberg Zoo sign on your left. After another 500 metres, you will see a dirt road on your left with a small sign saying Hawksmoor at Matjieskuil.
- Follow the gravel driveway until you reach the entrance gate.
By Plane:
- From Cape Town International Airport, take the N2 towards Somerset West, then take the R300 turn-off which joins the N1, towards Paarl.
- Take exit 39 (Stellenbosch / Klipheuwel) and follow the R304 towards Klipheuwel.
