The hotel has been recently renovated in the beginning of 2007, with 11 rooms decorated in a rural style from which 4 have beautiful views to the river Sella.
One of our best features is our library in which there is a great altarpiece dating back to 18th century, the perfect place to relax after a day in the mountains or on the beach. You can also take a break in front of the fireplace in the living room.

Completely renovated in 2007, the Hotel del Alto Sella lies on the riverbanks of the Sella, 6 km outside the picturesque town of Cangas de Onís. The wonderful surrounding landscape is ideal for outdoor activity, and the hotel staff can help you book a range of adventure sports. The family-friendly hotel also features a traditional restaurant, serving home-made Asturian dishes. Meanwhile, an on-site chapel and meadow just add to the property’s tranquil feel.

Located in west Asturias, meaning that within a 25 km radius you will find unbeatable beaches in Ribadesella and Llanes and the stunning Picos de Europa one of Europe's last mountain wilderness areas. As well as places like Cangas de Onis which was home to the first Spanish monarch and Real Sitio de Covadonga with its basilica or the lakes in Enol and Ercina.
We recommend you walk along the old footpath Senda del Arcediano which joins Asturias with the plateau of Castilla and is a stunning countryside full of valleys, trees, cottages, ridges and high summits.

Travel information :
By Car:
From Oviedo:
-Take the A64 towards Santander until exit 14 (Nava, Infiesto, Arriondas, Lieres).
-Merge with the N 634 for 41 km until Arriondas.
-When you exit Arriondas turn right into the N 625 towards Cangas de Onís.
-Enter Cangas and once you have passed the Roman bridge, turn right towards El Pontón (N-625) and in the km point 6 you will find the hotel.
From Cantabria:
-Take the A-8/ E-70 (Autovía del Cantábrico) and then take Exit 326 towards Covadonga/Parque Nacional Picos de Europa/Ribadesella/Arriondas/Cangas de Onís.
-Once you are in Cangas de Onís-follow instructions as above.
