The rural hotel maintains the splendour of the big country estates from long ago by being situated in the heart of a large property of 500.000 m2. It preserves all the colonial architecture of a period in which time passed by at a slower pace. The country estate that "La Hacienda" erected is the oldest of all of the Canary Islands, dating from 1572. The "Mayorazgo de Arucas" was established on the same date and these were the first owners until late S.XVIII. At that time, passing into the hands of the "Marquesado de Arucas", the present owners. In 1997, "La Marquesa de Arucas" decided to reconvert it to a hotel, maintaining both its architecture and original setting, amongst banana plantations. In "La Hacienda", you will enjoy luxury, rural accommodation, having all the comforts and services of a highly accredited hotel without depleting from its rural charm.

Our restaurant offers local cuisine, not only to guests but to anyone who wishes to pass the time pleasantly in this exceptional place. The restaurant is situated in the old tool shed of the property, form where it takes its name. It is not only the location that is special, but also the dishes, modernizing traditional flavours with new nuances.
Travel information :
See the kilometre log to zero! upon leaving the airport, follow the sign for Las Palmas joining onto the motorway GC-1. Keep on the GC1 motorway following the signs for Las Palmas for 11 Kms.
At approx. 11.4 kms you´ll see signs indicating the left two lanes which will take you onto the GC-3 motorway for “Tamaraceite/Tafira/Galdar”. Take this
exit following the signs for Galdar.
At 19 km move into one of the two right hand lanes and at 19.3km these lanes will take you onto the GC23 to Galdar. Once on the GC23 move out of the slow, right hand lane as this turns off and takes you into Las Palmas city.
At 23km you see the sign for the GC2 motorway to Galdar. Move into the middle lane. At 24km you approach a roundabout. You need to be in the middle lane at the roundabout to take the exit for the GC2 to Galdar. At 24km and the roundabout- take this (second) exit.
Once again, move out of the slow, right hand lane as this turns off and takes you into Las Palmas city. You´re now on the GC2 coastal motorway, the ocean on your right.
At around 29.8km you see a sign on the left showing you are entering the district of Arucas, (not the town of Arucas just yet).
At 33km move into the right hand lane, following the sign for “Arucas”. This will take you onto the GC-20 which goes into Arucas town. At 34km is another roundabout and a sign indicating go straight over here to continue along the GC-23 to Arucas.
At around 36km (after passing a shell petrol station on the right) you approach another roundabout with two lanes of traffic as you approach; move into the right land at the roundabout, take the first exit into Arucas town.
After approx 100 meters along this road you need to take the first left (towards “Firgas”) and as you round that corner, the first turning right. You´re now driving along one of the main streets of Arucas town. At the end of this street turn right following the sign to “Firgas” and at the end of that street take the first left turning, always following the signs for the GC-300 to Firgas.
You are now driving along calle La Heredad and will see in front and to the right a large chimney (Arucas rum factory). Just after the factory at the stop sign take the sharp right turning down the hill. At the bottom (and at approx. 37.7km) of the hill turn left.
After passing a rather splendid looking mansion on the right at 38.2km in front and to the left you will see some flag poles and several flags, this marking a left hand turning into the driveway leading to (and sign posted for) La Hacienda del Buen Suceso Hotel. At the first fork, bear right and at the second fork bear right once more and in front is the hotel.
