The Steinbock guest house is situated in the lower village of Gsteig near Interlaken. There is direct access from a sunny terrace to the Lütschine Valley which lies at the foot of the Schynige Plateau at an altitude of 2000 metres.

Please note that the restaurant is closed on Sundays and Mondays from mid September to the end of April, and the rest of the year from Sundays at 18:00 to Tuesday morning. Breakfast is served in a buffet style.

From Bern or Lucerne:
- Leave the motorway at Exit 25 and continue in the direction of Wilderswil / Grindelwald.
- On arrival in Wilderswil, turn left over the railway crossing towards the Schynige Platte Carpark, go pass the Hirschen Guesthouse.
- Just after the narrow wooden bridge (about 50 metres) you will see the Steinbock Guesthouse.
By Public Transport:
Take a train to Interlaken-Ost, Change for the Jungfrau train and get off at Wilderswil station. The hotel is a three minute walk away. Or, take a train from Bern to Interlaken-West. Change to the number 5 Bus to Wilderswil station. The hotel is a three minute walk away.
The taxi from both Interlaken train stations costs about CHF 17.
