We would like to give you an impression on our Hotel Monte Moro as well as our apartment houses Apollo and Arizona. We would be happy to welcome you in Saas Almagell, the village at the far end of the Saas Valley. The Hotel Monte Moro is ideally located in proximity of the chairlift and other sport installations.
Cancellation policy :
Cancellation Policy: If cancelled up to 21 days before date of arrival, no fee will be charged.
If cancelled later or in case of no-show, the total price of the reservation will be charged.
Children and Extra Bed Policy: All children are welcome.
All children under 2 years stay free of charge when using existing bedding.
Maximum capacity of extra beds/babycots in a room is 1.
Deposit Policy: No deposit will be charged.

Food & beverage :
We are looking forward to serve you our delicious dishes in the spacious and light dining room which has around 50 places. Breakfast buffet is arranged in this room. In the evening, we serve you a 4 to 5 dish menu. Our chef Frank Holtmann will make all his best to offer you well balanced and a great variety of dishes
What about a drink before dinner? Visit our traditional, cosy restaurant with a big bar, On a sunny day, enjoy your drink on our garden terrace, just in front of the hotel while getting a nice tan.
Regional dishes in the ‚Raclettestübli’
Enjoy the unique speciality of Valais in the cosy ‚Raclettestübli’. Raclette is melted cheese that is served with potateos and pickles. Of course we also serve the famous Swiss Fondue.
Area information :
This area is a terrific hiking paradise during summer providing more than 250 km of hiking paths from simple walks to mountain hiking trips and climbing a mountain of 4000 metres. Hence everybody finds something here.
Sportive activities include tennis, Velo cycling, swimming and mini golf.
Enjoy this area by horse carriage or horse-back riding. Modern activities include the crossing of a mountain canyon and climbing accompanied by a professional guide.
Here in Saastal we have well-built and secure hiking paths. From our hotel you can start various and unforgettable trips and tours into nature. Experience our valley’s mild and sunny climate or the harsh climate up in the mountains.
During winter this area offers plenty of snow-filled fun as well. Enjoy skiing and snowboarding in Saas Almagell, Saas Grund and Saas Fee, cross-country skiing on 26 km paths, tobogganing during day and night, hiking on winter hiking paths and ice skating and curling on natural ice.
Travel information :
If you travel via railways, go to Brig where you have to change to the post bus that will bring you to Saas- Almagell. There is one bus per hour until 20.05 (Friday 21.05 till Saas-Grund). During summer and winter season, there are also direct connections from Goppenstein to the Saas Valley. You need to change in Saas- Grund with either connection. Time is around 70 minutes from Brig and 90 minutes from Goppenstein
If you travel by car, you get to Valais via Bern – Lötschberg from the North, via Furka or Simplon from East and South and via Lausanne – Sion from the West. In Visp take the turn-off to Stalden - Saas-Grund-Zermatt. Leaving Stalden at the roundabout drive in direction Saas-Grund. Stay left in Saas Grund to get to Saas Almagell. It will take you around 40 minutes from Visp to Saas Almagell.
