The Hotel Walliserhof is a first class hotel built in typical Valaisan chalet style and located in the heart of the village. Zermatt is located in the South of Switzerland, 1600 metres, and only a few hours from the international airports Zurich, Genf and Mailand. Zermatt is easily accessible from all directions.
By car:
You can use the motorway until Täsch (4.8 km before Zermatt).
By train:
The train in Brig has direct access to the modern BVZ Zermatt train and reaches the romantic and wild Visper valley in 1.5 hours.
For those taking the train to Zermatt there are free car park spaces in Visp.
In Täsch there are trains every 20 minutes and a shuttle bus taxi to Zermatt.
Zermatt also has a heliport run by Air Zermatt.
