The hotel opened in June 2005 after a GBP 4.7 million refurbishment. The elegant mansion house was built in the early 20th century and offers excellent facilities for both business and leisure, attaining 4-star status in November 2005 and AA Rosette standard dining in Summer 2006. The hotel was winner of the prestigious Visit Scotland, Thistle Award for 'Customer Care' In November 2007.
